God Steadies the Unsteady – Ms. RuNett Ebo

Someone asked me what kept me and my husband (William H. Gray) together and brought us back together after we separated for 15 years. She thought we appeared to be quite opposite types.
My answer was- “He’s my barometer.”

The dictionary/technical definition is: “A barometer is a scientific instrument used in meteorology to measure atmospheric pressure. Pressure tendency can forecast short term changes in the weather.”
So for me, my husband was the one who would reel me back in when I de-stabilized. In other words, whenever my disposition got out of position. I’m a Libra (an Air sign) and while I don’t read horoscopes, I do know that God created the stars and we were born under them. I also know that some of what is said about Libras is true for me- I do have trouble with my knees. I do love peace and harmony but I can get in the way of that peace and harmony and cause my own disturbances. I do love exploring new things and it can get me into situations I regret sometimes. I gravitate toward the underdog and am sometimes deceived by them. My scales have a tendency to tip more than they stay balanced.
My husband helped me level off. Under pressure, I could get frustrated. He would remind me to BreatheTake a step back and Look at my project or situation again or he would step in and solve the problem when I could not see the solution. He would also remind me not to “stoop to the level of someone who may have upset me.” He often said, “You’re bigger than that” even when I did not WANT to be. It did keep me from doing things I would regret later. God knew what I needed even if I didn’t at the time. Our lives were intertwined from 1976 to 2016. I will miss him dearly.
