THE DEMON CALLED UN-FORGIVENESS

OCTOBER 8, 2017

SERMON TITLE:“THE DEMON CALLED UN-FORGIVENESS”

MINISTER FAY WARNER – PALMER THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY

THEME: “Let go off of Un-forgiveness”

TEXT: 2Corinthians 5:16-19

OUTLINE:

*Many believers struggle with un-forgiveness.

We can look over the course of our lives and count the hurt and pain someone has inflicted on us.

*At some point un-forgiveness begins to cloud our judgment, immobilizes us and hinders our walk with God.

*Four spirits feed the demon of un-forgiveness; Revenge, Hatred, Anger, Pride.

*If you are finding it hard to let go, consider these:

  • Take a good look at yourself. How has un-forgiveness hijacked your life? Consider also how many people you have hurt along the way and may be in need of forgiveness yourself.
  • Look to the example of Christ – Luke 23:33-43
  • You have been entrusted with the ministry of reconciliation (2Corinthians 5:16-19). Holding on to un-forgiveness will hinder this all important ministry. “Un-forgiveness will hinder you from getting to your  level”

“Our willingness to forgive may help others to realize that God desires to reconcile us to Himself” ODB-9/12/27

“Our willingness to seek reconciliation with others shows God’s heart  to them” – ODB -9/12/27
