It is the God-given ability to perceive or even see a situation with clarity. Some people like myself call it a “vibe.” They can be positive or negative when we get them.
Case in point- I was on the corner to catch a bus when a middle-aged woman at the same corner asked me for a dollar. I was about to give it to her when I noticed she was wearing make-up, she had very well-manicured nails and an expensivenew lookingperm in her hair; not to mention that her clothes were anything but shabby, wrinkled or dirty. Then the message I heard in my spirit said, “Do not throw pearls before swine…” Matt-7:6 My understanding of that was not to give a blessing to someone who would not appreciate it. Was I judging a book by its cover? Not if God is directing what I do and why.
