The year 2017 is winding down. Usually, this time of year, I look back on the year, consider what I did right and learn from what I did wrong. I’ve learned to be more REAL with myself than I used to be. More patient with my shortcomings and less complacent with my ruts.
I watched a program on Philly Cam today. It was the re-broadcast of a show that was originally aired back in June. Greg Corbin was hosting the show about relationships. He asked one question in particular that stuck out in my mind- He said before you take the plunge you should look in the mirror and ask “Would I marry Me?”
He said, if you cannot say yes, you should WAIT! Let’s face it, if you can’t stand you what makes you think someone else can?
There is a book that came out some years ago entitled, How to be Your Own Best Friend. Before we invite someone else to share our life or agree to share someone else’s; we need to EMbrace ourselves instead of bracing ourselves.
